A high pitched "wail" coming from my speakers. Any way to fix it?

Oh, those kind of problems can be tough to narrow down. It could be a failing audio jack on the computer. Also, there might be some kind of "input" device enabled (like a mic) that's causing the whine. Try disabling the playback of various audio devices in the control panel and see if that helps any. If you can disable everything and still get the whine, then the problem is the audio jack or with the sound card itself.
