Do you think that the new reusable green bags pose a serious risk to checkout operators?

I work in a supermarket and I handle these reusable bags all day and i find that a mive percentage of them are in DISGUSTING condition. I am allergic to pet hair and I would bet that close to 50% of the bags come thru covered in pet hair, some come thru covered in blood, i even had raoches crawl out of one, not to mention the girl that got hepatitus coz she put her hands in someones bag that had a rusty razor in it. i guess my questions are, are your reusable bags CLEAN? are they folded neatly and not all scrunched up? And do you REALLY think that they are a "good" change considering the health risks to humans?
