Is it worth it to travel from Rome to the isle of Capri in a day?

Im on vacation with my family and we really want to see Capri but we dont know if it will be worth it if we only go from one day. Not only is time an issue ( doesnt it take 4 hours there and back?) but how much will it cost? thank you!
